Meet Tallene

Tallene Hacatoryan is a PCOS Weight Loss registered dietitian and a strong
believer that you don’t just have to live with PCOS; you can thrive with PCOS.
She was diagnosed at age 18, and left scared and confused without much
information or guidance from her practitioner. Unsatisfied with the generally
accepted belief that birth control is the only way to manage a PCOS diagnosis
(and disheartened after failed attempts at weight loss through excessive
exercise and dieting), Tallene decided to look for alternative options. She
studied nutritional science and became a dietitian, gathering information from
her studies, speaking extensively with various health experts and working with
clients one-on-one. She discovered that eliminating gluten and dairy was a
huge key to living healthier with PCOS, and together with her husband Sirak (a
PCOS-focused personal trainer), developed a program meant to make living
with the diagnosis easier to both understand and embrace.

Tallene has helped thousands of women manage their PCOS symptoms, and
is living proof that anyone can overcome PCOS and lose weight naturally by
going gluten and dairy free!

Tallene’s Timeline

Tallene’s
Timeline

2008

Tallene is rushed to the emergency room from a
ruptured ovarian cyst, diagnosed with PCOS and
promptly prescribed birth control.

2010

Tallene quits birth control and uncontrollably gains
30 pounds, even while eating “healthy” and kickboxing
every day. Determined to find a real solution to reverse PCOS,
she changes her major to nutritional science and starts
searching for answers from naturopathic doctors.

2011

Tallene spends a summer studying culinary art
in Italy while also learning to adopt a gluten and
dairy free lifestyle.

2013

Tallene swaps kickboxing for yoga and loses 15 pounds
with a consistent gluten and dairy free diet (which is
easier than ever due to her job at a gluten and dairy free
grocery store!)

2014

Tallene enrolls in grad school to study Nutritional
Science, starts going to acupuncture and taking supplements
like Ovasitol to finally regulate her period.

2016

Tallene begins working with (and flirting with) a personal
trainer named Sirak, and loses five more pounds by doing
slow-paced weighted workouts.

2017

Tallene finishes her rotations and passes the exam to
become a registered dietitian. She begins to reverse her
patients’ symptoms the same way she reversed her own, and
decides to specialize in helping women with PCOS.

2019

Tallene marries her personal trainer (!) and launches the
Cysterhood with him to help reach more women with the
proven method that she and Sirak have developed over
the past two years.
